The Empire Spirit Natural Gas stove offers efficient direct vent heating in a freestanding cast iron design with a porcelain mahogany finish. The Empire Spirit Gas stove uses a sealed combustion system that draws combustion air from outdoors while venting exhaust gases outside, helping separate room air from the combustion process. This Direct Vent stove features Empire's Slope Glaze Burner system with an expanded ember bed, ceramic beads that create naturally swirling flames, and a hand-painted ceramic fiber log set for a realistic fire appearance.
Designed with a millivolt ignition system, the standing pilot is lit using a push-button piezo ignitor and operates with the concealed on/off switch located on the back of the stove. The system is also compatible with optional remote control solutions. With an input range of 18,000 to 26,500 BTU/hr, the stove can serve as a primary heat source while providing heat through the glass and room air circulation. During a winter power outage, the millivolt system can continue operating without household electricity. The freestanding 28-inch cast iron stove is designed for use with a 4 x 6 5/8 inch direct vent system and includes the essential components needed for installation except for accessories sold separately.
