As part of the Empire Innsbrook Vent-Free Fireplace Inserts collection, model VFPC20IN33P features a millivolt ignition system with an included on/off switch, allowing reliable operation even during electrical power outages. The vent-free design offers installation flexibility while delivering up to 20,000 BTU/hr of heating performance with an efficiency rating of 99.9%.
Inside the firebox, hand-painted ceramic fiber logs rest on a variable-flame burner with Empire's Slope Glaze Burner technology to create natural flickering flames. A banded brick ceramic liner enhances the traditional appearance, while the fine mesh barrier screen adds an additional layer of protection. Every insert includes a blower to help circulate warm air throughout the room. Optional control accessories, including thermostat and remote control options, are available separately for added convenience. This unit installs as an insert inside an existing fireplace and may also be installed as a vent-free fireplace when appropriate. One compatible surround is required to complete the installation.
